Thank you, VFW Post 2503 updated

May 16, 2014, brought a pleasant surprise. There aren't enough words to thank you for the generous gift & donation to the quilt fund for Dove of Peace. The money will be used to purchase fabric for future quilts, as well as the essentials, like thread and batting. To date, and four shopping trips later, the stash of blues and whites is getting back to normal.

At the top of the photo is a Soaring Eagle block. It will be part of a patriotic quilt that has an abundance of positive energy. It will be awarded in June sometime, but most likely, not the first meeting.

The remainder of the photo shows the fabrics purchased during four stops. Despite being from different merchants, the colors coordinate nicely. Additional fabric, from the stash, will be added to include red in the quilt, but not as part of an eagle.

The fabric stash continues to grow, thanks to your assistance. Here's the next haul and a Soaring Eagles quilt update, as well.

Thank you, again, for your support. It will be a pleasure to thank most of you in person in June. I look forward to seeing you, again.
